Adam Lyons leads The Zebra team as Chief Executive Officer, combining his insurance industry knowledge and tech startup savvy to give consumers a better way to shop for car insurance.
Prior to The Zebra, Adam helped launch Meltwater Press, allowing users to build relevant media lists and efficiently distribute news. Before Meltwater, Adam worked at Lloyd’s of London in Excess & Surplus Lines commercial insurance as an underwriter at All Risks LTD., one of the nation’s largest wholesalers. Adam founded The Zebra in 2012 to simplify insurance shopping. Adam holds a Bachelors of Business Administration with a specialization in Risk Management & Insurance from the Fox School of Business at Temple University.
Adam was born and raised in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and currently lives in Austin, Texas, where The Zebra is headquartered.
Adam has been a key speaker at the Auto Insurance Report National Conference, received the 2014 Empact100 Award at the United Nations, and was named to Inc. Magazine's 30 Under 30 list in 2015.
Director of Client Market Strategy, CoreLogic
Jerry leads the implementation, planning and education for the Client Market Strategy at Corelogic and aligns Corelogic’s technologies, vision, innovation and support with the needs of the agent and broker community in the US and Canada.
Before joining Corelogic, Jerry was a principal at James M. King & Associates in Bloomington, Minnesota for 26 years where he had oversight over the organization’s entire technology platform and directed the implementation of all information technology systems. He graduated from the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, Minnesota with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration.
Additionally, Jerry was a consultant to leading automation vendors, carriers and agencies across the country. He continues to actively participate in numerous industry organizations and forums that facilitate agency automation strategies. Jerry is a past chair of the Vertafore National User’s Group (NetVU) and was selected Agent of the Year by the Minnesota Independent Insurance Agents Association for his work in automation education. He is current Co-Chair of the Agents Council for Technology (ACT), Changing Nature of Risk work group.
Founder and Chairman, Confie
Mordy Rothberg manages to stay a devoted husband and father to 5 children while juggling his 5 day a week travel schedule, running a leading insurance brokerage, and chairing a large charity organization. His secret: Eva Rothberg! As chairman at Confie, Mordy has completed over 120 acquisitions in eight years but credits his management team for the rapid growth as well as the positive feedback the principals of their acquisitions offer for Confie.
Before building Confie by investing in capital expenditure and technology, Mordy studied business at Yeshiva University, rose from Executive VP at IDT to Principal at Net2phone where he raised funds from world class investors, including AOL, NBC, Yahoo and Softbank. AT&T ultimately bought 40 percent of Net2phone for $1.4 billion.
Mordy previously formed a joint venture with Cisco on the creation of Adir Technologies where he raised $70 million from Cisco, Softbank and others in multiple rounds to spin off technology assets from Net2phone.

Stuart Ganis is a 26-year veteran of the independent agency channel and founder of Ganis Consulting, an insurance consultancy run by insurance agents, for insurance agents.
AnMarie Bozick, CIC
Comparative Rating Product Manager, ITC
AnMarie Bozick, CIC, manages ITC’s rating products, including TurboRater and TurboRater for Websites. She has more than 20 years of property and casualty insurance experience, including owning her own agency and serving as president of the Alliance of Insurance Agents of Texas. She joined ITC in 2008.
Vice President of Marketing, ITC
As vice president of marketing, Becky Schroeder oversees ITC’s growth through marketing and drives the overall marketing strategy for the company and its products. Her specialties include advertising, social media, email marketing, content marketing and public relations. She manages 14 social media accounts for ITC and its products.
Becky joined ITC as marketing director in 2011. Prior to ITC, she worked as marketing coordinator at the Plano-based accounting firm Cornwell Jackson. Becky has a master’s degree in integrated marketing communication from Emerson College in Boston and a bachelor’s degree in journalism from Texas A&M University. She is a regular contributor to ITC’s marketing, rating and management blogs.
SEO Coordinator, ITC
Darmini Kara performs search engine optimization (SEO) tasks for ITC’s customers, including blogging, keyword research, backlink building, social media management, onsite optimization and some online marketing. She uses these tasks to help agents achieve their goal of obtaining increased search engine rankings and traffic on Google and other search engines.
Joining ITC in 2010, Darmini has seven years of experience in SEO. She has a bachelor’s of arts in arts and technology from the University of Texas at Dallas. Her expertise includes organic and local SEO, pay-per-click, online marketing, Google Analytics and Search Console, website design, and social media.
Don Hobdy Jr.
Vice President of Sales, ITC
Since the early 2000s, Don Hobdy has been passionate about the insurance industry. He started his career as an independent agent on the personal lines side of the business. Today he teaches digital marketing, agency efficiency and continuing education classes across the country to help the independent agent maximize their technology and learn new ways to improve their agency’s brand in the marketplace. Don joined ITC in 2011 as regional sales manager and was promoted to vice president of sales in 2014.
SEO Coordinator, ITC
Dylan Brooks helps ITC clients improve the visibility of their agency websites. Dylan works directly with agents to improve their website’s search engine rankings. He also regularly writes on the ITC marketing blog and educates agents about search engine optimization at both Masters of Marketing and Agent Conference.
Prior to joining ITC, Dylan was a digital marketing strategist in the home remodeling industry. Dylan has a bachelor’s degree in communication from the University of Miami, and he spent three years as an executive television news producer in West Texas. Dylan has extensive experience with writing, strategy and marketing analytics. His focus is to help agencies align their strategies to meet the demands of the online marketplace and thereby grow their business.
AgencyBuzz Coordinator, ITC
Heather Galloway provides training and support on AgencyBuzz to ITC customers and contributes to the ITC marketing blog, leads AgencyBuzz Academy and presents on email marketing at Masters of Marketing.
Prior to joining ITC, Heather worked as an event coordinator where she specialized in attendee engagement, digital media, and departmental marketing. She has a bachelor’s degree in rhetoric and writing from The University of Texas at Austin. Heather has extensive knowledge in consumer engagement, customer service, and digital marketing. Her email marketing specialties include newsletters, unique content, contact segmentation, and targeted marketing.
SEO Coordinator, ITC
John Dessommes manages search engine optimization and pay-per-click advertising campaigns for multiple independent insurance agencies nationwide. He also handles SEO for GetITC.com and ITC’s other web properties. John stays on the cutting edge of industry best practices to ensure that visibility is maximized and opportunities are not missed. He has considerable knowledge about on- and off-site optimization, AdWords, business listings and social media.
President of ITC
As president, Laird Rixford is responsible for sharing the vision and direction of the company with its customers, vendors and affiliate companies. Rixford oversees the direction for each of ITC’s products and the company’s sales and marketing department.
Laird joined ITC in 2008 as vice president of product development and marketing when ITC acquired his company Evolution Designs and its product Insurance Website Builder. In 2011 he created AgencyBuzz, ITC’s automated agency marketing tool. An expert in insurance technology and marketing, Rixford is a recognized public speaker and has presented at industry events across the United States. Prior to joining ITC, Rixford provided technology consultation and solutions to banks, mortgage companies, real estate firms and insurance agencies.
Marketing Sidekick, ITC
Phillip Long is the primary contact for all search engine optimization clients at ITC. As a marketing sidekick, he is responsible for coaching and guiding agents in the SEO program and ensuring they progress through the SEO program smoothly and effectively.
Before joining ITC in 2013, Phillip worked for Collin County College, University of Texas at Arlington Athletics and interned at FC Dallas. In those three stops, he worked on a wide range of marketing initiatives, from interviewing athletes for website content to creating graphics.
Phillip graduated with a bachelor’s degree in interdisciplinary studies from the University of Texas at Arlington with a focus in management and communication. He has a background in writing, marketing and management that comes from a mixture of education and part work experience. His specialties include conceptualizing marketing campaigns, SEO and customer service.
